Compassion & Outreach
…if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. - Isaiah 58:10 ESV
Our Compassion Ministry fully believes and operates in this scripture, and living it out to our community. We love being able to bless people with food, clothing, and spiritual guidance. Our Compassion Ministries play a vital part in who we are as a church body. We have many volunteers that help each day living out the call of God to help the helpless, and care for those who are hurting.
Food Pantry
Our food pantry is stocked with dry goods and non-perishable items for anyone in need of assistance. It is open during church office hours and after any of our weekly scheduled services.
Kings Kitchen
A compassion ministry with the purpose of delivering hot meals to those in need of assistance in our community. Deliveries occur each week on Tuesdays beginning at 11:30am.
Klothes Kloset
Filled with baby to adult size clothing, diapers, and some baby items; we are here to meet your clothing needs. Stop by and visit any Thursday between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Prayer Shawls
Individuals gather to create shawls and cover people with a little warmth and prayer. These shawls will be given to any person that has an illness or disease reminding them that they have a prayer partner in Coweta Assembly of God. Creating the shawls is easy and everyone is encouraged to be a part.
Benevolence
We understand that everyone may go through a difficult time in their life at one point or another. We are committed to help individuals in such situations however necessary. We support the Coweta Ministerial Alliance and The Grace Center financially to help defray some needs within the community, but we are also willing to meet with you individually after a service if you have a need.
Missions
We are very involved with missions. We currently support fourteen U.S. Missionaries and seventeen World Missionaries financially covering more than a dozen countries and five continents. We also provide opportunities for people to be a part of missions by planning annual trips within the states and worldwide. If you would like to contribute or partner with our missions ministry, contact the church office.
